220v Electric Motor Wire Harness
The 220v Electric Motor Wire Harness turns an electric motor into a wired boat lift motor. The harness includes a Bremas drum switch wired with a 110v GFCI wire harness. The harness uses SJTW 14/5 control cable.
The Bremas Boat Lift Switch is a cam switch that controls the movement of a boat lift. Features a durable molded plastic housing and a gasket sealed box. UL, NEMA, CE, SA compliant. Easy to wire terminals with locking screws. Wiring directions for most brands of boat hoist motors included. Compatible with reversing motors. The switch comes complete with housing, drum switch, and lift handle. Use for lift motors up to 1 1/2 HP with a maximum of 20 amps.
The 220v GFCI Wire Harness is UL listed, Class-A Rainproof, and made of marine-grade electrical components. Compatible with all boat lift motors. The GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) features the GFCI in line with the wire harness. Allows two motors to use side-by-side plugs. Equipped with test and reset buttons. Proper installation is required. GFCI protects the user from severe electrical shock from electrical short, voltage leak, or water detected.
Maintained (lock-on) vs. Momentary (spring-loaded)
The maintained (lock-on) drum switch stays in the position you place the handle until manually turned off. It does not have guide arrows on the front plate. The momentary drum switch handle springs back to the off position when it is released. It has guide arrows on the front plate. The momentary (spring-loaded) switch is the safer choice because it won’t operate unless someone is holding the handle.
What is a GFCI?
A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), or Residual Current Device (RCD) is a circuit breaker. This device reduces the risk of electric shock. It shuts off an electric power circuit when it detects that current is flowing along an unintended path, such as through water or a person.
SJTW 14/5 Boat Lift Control Cable
UL approved electrical cable wire. Features a black jacket coating with poly rope filler that covers the 5 gauged color wires. The color wires include; black, white, red, orange, and green. 300 maximum voltage. Used for anything electrically wired by BH-USA. Including boat lift switches, boat lift motors, and other power sources.
