8,500 lb. Advanced Gear Plate Assembly
The 8,500 lb Advanced Gear Plate Assembly is a dual belt pulley gear plate that has a lifting capacity of 8,500 lbs. Assemblies include the 10-inch aluminum die-cast hoist pulley, 96-tooth bronze worm gear assembly, extended block bronze steel assembly, and 34-inch drive belt.
There are no steel-on-steel moving parts. It has been assembled and tested by the manufacturer. Lifetime warranty included. You can choose between galvanized steel or powder-coated steel for the backplate. This item ships in a single box.
The extended block worm assembly has a 2-inch bearing block, a worm on a driveshaft, and an aluminum housing with 1/4 inch grease fittings. Attaches directly to the gear plate. The assembly has standard flat-plate mounting holes.
The 96 tooth worm gear assembly comes assembled with the gear, sleeve, backplate bearing, axle sleeve bolt, and snap rings. 1/4 inch easy-reach grease fittings are included. The gear fits standard gear plates used in flat-plate hoists.
The 10 in. Aluminum Die-Cast Hoist Pulley is made from an aluminum die-casting process. Over 15 years of use on BH-USA Flat Plate hoists. They are much stronger in marine environments. They will not swell or bend. The belt-gripping technology on the inside of the pulley prevents belt slippage. Compatible with any known flat-plate hoist. Resistant to warping. Designed to fit drive belts better. The bore is 3/4 inches. Accepts belts up to 1/2 inch.
The AX-34 is a 34-inch drive belt that is compatible with all flat-plate boat hoists from BH-USA. This belt is the perfect length to fit around a 10-inch hoist pulley and to be able to attach it to a 2-inch motor pulley. As the motor’s driveshaft turns, the pulleys turn the belt in order to complete the movement of the hoist.
Gear plates from the Advanced Series feature bronze 96 tooth worm gear assemblies and extended block steel worm assemblies. They are designed to be used with boat lift motors of up to 1 1/2 HP. The only difference between the 7,500 lb and 8,500 lb gear plates is their pulleys. A single belt pulley is used on the 7,500 lb and a dual belt pulley is used on the 8,500 lb.
Never use the same material for both worm gears. The use of steel-on-steel or bronze-on-bronze is not recommended for flat-plate hoists. Return policy.
