Aluminum Guidepost Stanchion Backup Plate
The Aluminum Guidepost Stanchion Backup Plate is designed to be the back half of an aluminum stanchion. Made from 1/4 in. thick marine grade 6061-T6 US aluminum. Features (2) mounting holes on the bottom that fit 1/2 in. hex head bolts and (1) top mounting hole that also fits 1/2 in. hex head bolts. The backup plate measures 11 in. long. Each flange measures 2 in.
Mounting fasteners are not included.
Installation
The fastener bolts go through the stanchion mounting holes through the backplate and are secured with a lock washer and nut. The cradle beam being in the middle allows the stanchion to “clamp” tight onto the cradle beam. Then use an optional guidepost to slide on top of the stanchion.
