Yellow Weighted Boat Lift Sling

The Yellow Weighted Boat Lift Sling is a premium marine-grade polyester sling designed specifically for boat lifting applications. The marine slings come in three widths: 4 inches, 6 inches, and 8 inches, all made of polyester. They can lift 8,400 lbs., 12,000 lbs., and 12,000 lbs. respectively, but their working load limits are 4,200 lbs., 6,000 lbs., and 6,000 lbs.

The slings have a galvanized pear ring and a double kneel pad. Lead weights are sewn into the kneel pad to keep the sling in shape and prevent it from floating. However, these weights aren’t enough to provide proper tension on the boat lift cable. It’s recommended to use extra cable weights for better tension. Remember, these slings are not safe for lifting people or overhead loads.

What is WLL?

Working Load Limit  (WLL) is the maximum working load specified by the manufacturer. This load represents a mass or force that is much less than that required to make the lifting equipment fail or yield,  (known as the Minimum Breaking Load – MBL).   SWL or  WLL are calculated by dividing the  MBL by a  safety factor ( SF).
